To celebrate the launch of Second Song, we’re giving away one of our unique Spared Birds – a one-of-a-kind sculpture created from waste generated in our own workshop.
Offcuts, leftover materials, samples, experiments and remnants from previous projects have been given a new form, each becoming an individual bird with its own material story.

Second Song is a collection created from the waste we generate through our own work.
Materials left behind by prototypes, experiments and projects have been collected, considered and transformed into something completely new.
No two birds are quite the same. Different materials, colours and histories make every one unique.
Created for Second Song, our exhibition at Material Matters during London Design Festival 2026, the collection explores the potential in the things we might otherwise throw away.
Because waste isn’t the end of the story. It’s the beginning of something new.
COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Promoter
The promoter is Volume Creative Ltd – trading as Spared of Plus X Innovation Lewes Road, Brighton, BN2 4GL
2. Competition period
The competition opens at 8am 14th September 2026 and closes at midnight on 5th October 2026.
Entries received after the closing date will not be included.
3. Eligibility
The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees of Spared, their immediate families and anyone directly involved in the administration of the competition.
4. How to enter
To enter, submit a valid email address using the competition entry form on this page during the competition period.
No purchase is necessary and there is no charge to enter.
Only one entry per person will be accepted.
5. Marketing
You do not need to agree to receive marketing communications to enter the competition.
If you choose to opt in to receive news and updates from Spared, you can unsubscribe at any time.
6. The prize
The prize is one Spared Bird from the Second Song collection.
The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative will be offered.
7. Selecting the winner
One winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received before the competition closes.
8. Contacting the winner
The winner will be contacted using the email address provided when entering.
The winner must respond within 7days of being contacted. If the winner does not respond within this period, Spared reserves the right to select another winner at random from the remaining valid entries.
9. Delivery
The prize will be delivered free of charge to a UK address / available for collection.
Spared will arrange delivery or collection directly with the winner.
10. Personal information
Personal information submitted to enter the competition will be used to administer the prize draw and handled in accordance with Spared’s Privacy Policy.
Where you have separately opted in to receive marketing communications from Spared, your information will also be used for that purpose. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
11. General
Spared reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary.
Spared’s decision regarding the competition and selection of the winner is final.
